Overview
Papa Architects were commissioned to design a fully demountable traveling exhibition display for the Michalis Georgiou private collection of Ancient Musical Instruments. The concept was to use exactly the same display units for all objects, having them on a grid and made of reflective material, so as not to obstruct from the exhibits. Each unit was highly engineered using unobtrusive fixings to secure the exhibits and with carefully controlled lighting and mirrors to reveal their beauty. Donald Judd was an inspiration for these cases allowing them to sit within large museum spaces as the exhibition tours across Europe and the United States.
